• Dear Trish and Carlos!\r\nWe very much enjoyed the 4 days riding clinic in November 2011. We enjoyed feeling Piaffe, Passage and practised lections like shoulder in, travers, traversale, counter canter, flying canter, and just all the transitions!!! I have never made a flying canter before and I am not that good rider. As documented on our videos, we have learned so much within those 4 days, starting with the seat... Carlos identified our main \\\"problems\\\" and we worked on them. We have never experienced such good quality dressage lessons, Carlos is pointing out the key elements that needs to be practised. We will definitely come back - most probably in 2012 - and can recommend Carlos for each rider who wants to learn classical dressage. • I went riding today and I REALLY missed Carlos\' calm and quiet manner! Why is it so many riding instructors have to be so loudspoken?! Thank you so much for showing me that there is an alternative out there. It was so nice and also a privilege to watch you both and Carlos\' brother work the horses with patience, discipline and quiet. The calm energy in the arena and on the yard is something I want to take with me ver there are horses. Thank you Trish for showing me the fun you have with Zorro. Thank you Carlos for the lessons and also demonstrating some of the exercises for me to see. I also really enjoyed watching the two brothers show the horses to the French clients that evening - it was very special to have first row seats to watch two amazing riders dancing with their horses. My first night back home I didn\'t sleep very much because my mind kept going over Carlos\' lessons. Hopefully I\'ll be able to integrate the things he taught me into my riding and training. If only you were closer by so I could train with you more regularly! In the meantime though, I\'m really looking forward to visiting again next year when you\'re both back and will aim to stay for a week.

• Our visit to Portugal was a truly unique experience. I had not imagined that during the first lesson I would be doing flying changes, passage and piaffe as well as half=pass and shoulder-in! The horses were beautiful, well-trained and mannerly. Carlos\' instruction was always perceptive and focused. The riding schools and guest rooms were very clean and well maintained and the in-house restaurant provided good fresh food. What more could one want? Well in the hottest weather a pool always goes down well and we had the sole use of a large pool on the premises whenever we wanted. Just perfect!

• Anyone who is interested in classical dressage should get themselves to Portugal or a clinic for some training with Carlos Carneiro and Trisha Robertson. Carlos is one of those few gifted riders who can see, explain and demystify for a student what is going wrong and how to correct, quietly and positively. You finish a class with Carlos with a surge of confidence that says yes, I can do this! If you are interested in liberty work, ask Trish to give you a demonstration with her horse, they have an extraordinary rapport. When you aren’t riding you can watch Trish and Carlos working with their horses and be inspired. Trish and Carlos have marvelous horses for you to ride, the facilities are first class, the setting is beautiful, there is a very good restaurant on the premises, and a lovely swimming pool, what more could one possibly wish for?

• Hi Carlos and Trish! Thanks so much for the last clinic in Austria and the wonderful time we had. Best of all was, of course, that little Fado arrived with the transport at the same time!!! Fado, the wonder-Lusitano, is getting fatter by the day eating wonderful Austrian hay. Thanks so much for taking such good care of him before he got on the transporter bound for Austria. • Dear Carlos and Dear Trish, once again many thinks for the fabolous clinic in Oktober. Our horses are doing so well, Nico does since the last clinic also perfect on both sides lateral works in trott, and a really good piaffe. Also the horse Petra started last clinic with Passage and the flying change. She can ride the flying change now alone at home.
